06/08/2025 - Nassau Tournament

 

  • Sign up deadline Wednesday May 28, 2025 by 12:00pm (noon) 
  • Entry Fee: 
    • $25 per player - if paid before May 28 at 12:00pm (noon)
    • $35 per player - players may sign up between May 28 at 12:01pm to May 30 at 12:00pm (noon), if any tee times remain available.  
  • Sign up in the North Pro Shop either in person or over the phone. Payment is required to be added to the list. Payments accepted are cash, check, credit cards.
  • Refunds will be issued up to 48 hours from the event.  Within 48 hours of the event no refunds will be issued.    
  • Tee Times - starting at 6:00am
  • 3 Divisions:
    •  Men’s Division 
      • Depending on the number of entries, the field will be split into one or two flights based on handicap.
    • Women’s Division
      • Depending on the number of entries, the field will be split into one or two flights based on handicap.
    • Mix Division
      • Depending on the number of entries, the field will be split into one or two flights based on handicap.
  • Payouts: $25 towards tournament format.  20% of entry towards Front Nine, 20% of entry towards Back Nine and 60% of entry towards Overall.  All entry fees collected will be paid out in the division they are paid into.
  • Extra Games: (Optional) $10 Individual Skins Gross/Net.  Must be paid at time of sign up. 
  • Create your own 2 person team  
  • Players must hold a Riverside Golf Course Membership. 
  • Only having a Ghin membership at Riverside does not qualify.  
  • Singles may sign up and we will try to add or form teams, we cannot guarantee you will be paired in a team.      
  • Riverside will block a group of tee times for this event on the morning of June 8.  If you play in this event, you will not need to book a tee time.  Tee times will be chosen at random. 
  • 100% of players handicaps - handicaps will adjust based on the tee played 
  • Players Ghin Handicap must be active and  have an Index Number to play.  NH will not be acceptable to play in the event.
  • The handicaps revisions on Friday June 6, 2025 will be used for the tournament
  • FORMAT:
    • 2-person Best Ball NET 
    • Low net front nine total
    • Low net Back nine total
    • Low net overall total
  • Tees:
    • Men Tees:  
      • Players ages 64 and under will play White Tees.
      • Players 65 and up will have the option to play either the White Tees or Blue Tees.  Players' course handicap will reflect which tee they play, according to the USGA.  
        • Players must select which tee they will be playing at the time of signing up for the Tournament or Sweeps and cannot be changed once the deadline has passed. 
    • Women’s Tees:
      • Players ages 64 and under will play Green Tees.
      • Players 65 and up will have the option to play either the Green Tees or Gold Tees.  Players' course handicap will reflect which tee they play, according to the USGA.  
        • Players must select which tee they will be playing at the time of signing up for the Tournament or Sweeps and cannot be changed once the deadline has passed. 
  • Payouts - Payouts based on number of entries, payouts in credit book money, all entry fees collected will be paid out in the division they are paid into.
  • Players' scores will be posted by the golf course.  



Rules for the Tournament 

  • LIVE SCORING IS MANDATORY to be used throughout the tournament by one person on the team.  
    • IF A TEAM DOES NOT USE THE LIVE SCORING - EACH PLAYER ON THE TEAM WILL BE PENALIZED 2 STROKES IF THEY CHOOSE NOT TO USE THE LIVE SCORING. The 2 Strokes will be added to the 18th hole score of each player.   
    • The two stroke penalty will not be added to your score for Ghin posting, just for scoring of the tournament. 
    • Download the Golf Genius app
  • The live scoring GGID Number will be provided the day of the tournament
  • SCORECARDS will be the official score for the tournament.  Please sign your scorecard, once it is turned in it will be official and no changes will be allowed.  Keep only GROSS scores on your scorecard.  Cards must be turned immediately after your round.
  • FORMAT:
    • 2-person Best Ball NET 
    • Low net front nine total
    • Low net Back nine total
    • Low net overall total
    • If a player picks up and records an X on a hole where the score is needed, the team will be disqualified from the tournament. 
      • Example: On the 18th hole, one score is required, if Player A and Player B does not finish the hole, that team would have 0 recorded scores therefore the team would be disqualified. 
    • If only 1 player arrives from the group to play and no other players are available to fill in, unfortunately that player will either have to play by themself or receive a refund.  
    • 1 club length in own fairway, no closer to hole
      • You may roll the ball with your club
      • If you lift the ball, you need to mark it first 
    • Rake and place in all bunkers
    • Tees:
      • Men Tees:  
        • Players ages 64 and under will play White Tees.
        • Players 65 and up will have the option to play either the White Tees or Blue Tees.  Players' course handicap will reflect which tee they play, according to the USGA.  
          • Players must select which tee they will be playing at the time of signing up for the Tournament or Sweeps and cannot be changed once the deadline has passed.

  • USGA Stroke and Distance NOT in effect for this tournament 
  • Pine needles at base of trees – NOT GUR (located in rule book under Definitions - Ground Under Repair. Grass clipping, leaves any other material left on the course that are not intended to be removed are not ground under repair unless marked GUR) 
  • Tree Roots - No relief. Players may take an Unplayable Ball under Rule 19. You can play and unplayable ball anywhere except o a Penalty Area 
  • Nesting Boxes – Free Relief - Nearest point of complete relief - one club length from the reference point. Relief must not be nearer the hole and in the general area. 
  • No Play Zones (Environmental Sensitive Areas) – 

? Mandatory drop for environmental areas with a 1 stroke penalty 

? Entry into and/or playing from environmental reason - breach of rule 2 stroke penalty

  • 18th Hole – Flower bed behind green is part of the obstruction 

? Free Relief - Nearest point of complete relief - one club length from the reference point. Relief must not be nearer the hole and in the general area. 

  • ? Ground Under Repair (GUR) marked with white paint 

? "Ground under repair" is any part of the course so marked by order of the Committee or so declared by its authorized representative. 

  • If in doubt, play 2 balls under rule 20.1c, inform other competitors which ball you want count 
  • All USGA, State and Local Rules apply to this tournament  
  • USGA Rule 6 - Playing a Hole (penalties for playing from the wrong tee) 
  • USGA tiebreaker will be used if teams are tied for any of the top places
